My aim is to investigate the conditions for the manifestation of passions and emotions. Are these conditions independent from the subject-agent? Are they, as objective, somehow analyzable and governable? I think that we must assume that there is an external condition of risk (κίνδυνος) which interacts with an inner emotional state. Usually we connect immediately risk with fear; but the risk seems the necessary condition also for another experience: the human being reacts to fear and finds it important, perhaps fascinating, engaging, and then, literally, takes risks in view of a new goal to be achieved.
